9/11 Tribute Center
Video Chat with an Experienced Guide

Can't make it to the Tribute Center this Year?

We can digitally travel to you!

We are now offering a Video Chat Program where classes are able to have a remote dialogue with a Tribute Guide who shows a slideshow of photographs, shares their personal 9/11 story, and answers any questions students may have. This option is ideal for classes outside New York City that cannot make it to Lower Manhattan. Email education@tributewtc.org for more information or to set up a time to chat with one of our experienced guides.

Annual Teacher Awards: $500 for Your Classroom

Each year the 9/11 Tribute Center awards outstanding teachers who have developed exemplary projects related to teaching 9/11 in their classrooms. Whether teachers develop a language arts project, a social studies project, a studio art project, or a service project, Tribute applauds teachers for bringing 9/11 education into their curriculum. Along with a recognition ceremony at the 9/11 Tribute Center, teachers will receive $500 for their classroom.

To apply, please email education@tributewtc.org
a project description, the inspiration for the project, examples of resources or lessons plans used, photos of the students working and samples of their project(s), and reflections on the experience. Please include the teacher's name, school name and address, grade(s) involved in project, and number of class periods used for this project by January 27, 2014.
