Version 4.3 is Here!
Video Insight has just released Version 4.3 of our Enterprise Class IP Video Management System. The v4.3 upgrade supplements our most recent major upgrade, v4.2 (released in 2010), and offers the following new functionality: - Support for over 960 camera models from 60 manufacturers including:
Axis, Arecont, ACTi, Sony, Panasonic, IQEye, and Infinova. View the entire list. - ONVIF support
- Support for several access control systems including:
Blackboard, DSX, Imron, Lenel, RS2, and S2 - Failover support
- Ability to record at 1 FPS, then go to 30 FPS
- SMTP support for SSL
- Increased Monitor Station efficiency (as much as 10 percent)
- The ability to stream recorded audio to the Monitor Station
- Health Monitor runs as its own service
- Health Monitor email notification expanded to support mass mailing,
as well as SMTP/SSL - Layout Grouping - The ability to organize layouts by group.
For example: Building 1 Group, Building 2 Group, etc. - Ability to change Layout Order
- Ability to spawn PTZ controls from the left-hand navigation tree
- Improved logging, including: When video is exported; How much data is sent by cameras; and Storage use
- Ability to limit the number of users who can export clips
(to maintain security of clip information and prevent unauthorized sharing) - Long Term Storage functionality now resides in the Rules Manager

Video Insight VMS Named 2011 Govies Platinum Award Winner by Security Products Magazine
Video Insight was honored with the 2011 Platinum Govies Award by Security Products magazine during the annual GovSec Conference & Expo held in March in Washington, D.C.
Security Products named Video Insight a Platinum Award Winner - the highest distinction - in the Video Management Systems category for the Video Insight VMS Release 4.3. Video Insight was one of just two Platinum Award Winners in the VMS category and was among only 14 Platinum Award Winners in all nine categories from 2,011 contest entrants.
