Thank you to those of you who joined us live for our September 2021 virtual Walk with a Doc!

For the September 2021 walk, we welcomed Dr. Lisa Durette who gave a brief, family-friendly talk on When Things Aren’t Perfect: Caring for Yourself & Your Children, and then took parent questions live.

Mental Health Matters
As an extra bonus this month, we are also sharing this brief video from Nevada AAP leader and medical student, Erum Chowdhry, on why children's mental health matters.

Mental health is not merely the absence of mental disorder but is composed of social, emotional, and behavioral health and wellness and should be considered in the same context as physical health.

Keeping schools open and safe is our first priority, so for now we're keeping our family events virtual to reduce the spread of COVID. When it is safe to do so, we will resume our in-person walks in Las Vegas and Reno.

In the meantime:
  • Keep walking every day
  • Wear sunscreen
  • Bring water
  • Keep 6 feet from other people
  • For everyone 2 years and older, wear a mask when you aren't vaccinated and can't socially distance

We hope to "see" you at our future virtual walks. We will send registration details and a flyer soon.
