Neko Wilson, the first Californian to be freed by State Senator Nancy Skinner's SB 1437 after it was signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown, September 30, 2018, is pictured above with his father, Vietnam Veteran Mack Wilson.  SB 1437 narrows the definition of felony murder. 
  



The film screenings were followed by a panel discussion on prison reform

On Juneteenth, Just days after stopping through to screen two films at San Francisco Black Film Festival XXI, "Strive" and "The Robeson Effect," Actor, Activist & Humanitarian Danny Glover, a lead in the recently released film "Last Black Man in San Francisco,"  testified at a congressional committee hearing for H.R.40 -116th Congress (2019-2020): Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African-Americans Act.
