Making a Difference

2025 in Review

Although 2025 did not bring another catastrophic storm like Hurricane Ian, Lee County families and seniors continued to face other challenges—rising housing, food and healthcare costs and unexpected personal emergencies, while essential support services were reduced or temporarily unavailable.

When the need was there, so was The Bridge Fund. Thanks to your generosity, TBF's working board and other volunteers were able to help fill the gaps. Approximately 98% of your contributions were available for direct assistance. When our neighbors in need had nowhere else to turn, you made sure The Bridge Fund could step in to:

  • Prevent evictions and utility shutoffs
  • Provide food and basic necessities
  • Cover urgent medical and dental needs
  • Support seniors, children, and survivors of violence
  • Offer transportation for work, school, and medical care

Every dollar you gave became a bridge — carrying families from crisis to stability, from fear to relief, from uncertainty to hope.

You didn’t just fund assistance. You changed lives.

Colony-based Charity

Type of Help Provided in 2025

In 2025, over 600 families and individuals were positively impacted by your generosity. Electricity was turned back on. Children got their own beds. Seniors and shut-ins were served home-delivered meals. Mobile and school-based food pantries provided nutritional support. Neighbors Helping Neighbors.

Where Families Needed You the Most

Housing instability remained the #1 challenge in 2025. You provided emergency rent assistance, utility bill support, eviction prevention and temporary shelter placements for families.

A Mother Fighting to Stay in Her Home

When Marisa's rent jumped by $400, she fell behind for the first time. A single mom working two jobs, she was terrified of losing her home.

" I finally slept through the night, I felt like someone cared."

Words of Thanks

Because of YOU healing was possible. Rose, a breast cancer survivor, urgently needed a dental procedure she couldn't afford. Thanks to your generosity, TBF covered her treatment and lifted a tremendous burden from her family.

"When my urgent dental needs became impossible to afford, I felt defeated. The Bridge Fund’s compassion has given us the care we desperately need and reminded us that there are people and organizations who truly care. Your kindness has brought us hope, healing, and peace of mind. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you." Rose

Compassion that restores HOPE. When a work related injury left Brandy's husband unable to work, TBF stepped in to cover their electric bill and one month of rent - giving their family the stability they desperately needed.

"We can never thank you enough. Before our wedding, Andy and I were thriving. Then a sudden machine accident changed everything, turning our first year of marriage into major challenges. We are committed to rebuilding our future and picking up where we left off. Thank you, we are truly grateful." Brandy
