Empire Block
Superior, Wisconsin 
Empire Block Historic Rehabilitation project was proposed to conform to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and Guidelines for Rehabilitating Historic Buildings, as well as related guidance from Technical Preservation Services of the National Park Service (SOI Standards and Guidelines). The project had to meet the SOI Standards and Guidelines to qualify for historic tax credits. All rehabilitation work under this Project was to adhere to these specifications and the guidelines of the Secretary of the Interior governing same. Empire Block Historic Rehabilitation project had a scope that included historically accurate new window replacement, as well as rehabilitation of the exterior facade back to the original design of the late 1800's. An extensive interior rehabilitation design that included main level retail and 2nd and 3rd floor living spaces was also a large part of MGA's charge as well as a  list of general repairs to the property including carpentry, painting, roofing, lead abatement or lead hazard reduction, masonry and concrete work.

Waaswaaganing Living Arts & Cultural Center 
Meyer Group Architecture was selected to design Lac du Flambeau Lake Superior Chippewa Indian's new Culture Center and Living Arts center. The new building will replace their former Indian Bowl Amphitheater facility, a well known area landmark. The new facility shall possess a new Pow Wow Grounds, Art Center, Art Education classroom space, additional museum facilities and public facilities supporting the amphitheater. The new facility will also be utilized by Lake of the Torches Casino for outdoor Music performances.

Bachand Group Headquarters
The Bachand Group of Superior, Wisconsin has selected the Meyer Group Team to design their newest office building. The building will allow The Bachand Group's three divisions of realty services to be housed under one roof. Design work has already begun and we are extremely excited to see this building become a fixture on Tower Avenue.

Lac Courte Oreilles Housing Authority Projects 
Meyer Group Architecture provided support for a variety of projects with the Lac Courte Oreilles Housing Authority. We were involved with: Imminent Threat Project, which was to install Owner furnished battery back-up sump pumps in approximately 207 homes, furnished and install basement crack sealant in approximately 247 homes. The Mold Remediation Project, was moderate to extensive rehabilitation of 53 homes scattered throughout the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation. The Lac Courte Oreilles Housing Authority received a technical assistance grant - Self-Help Housing Project - to supervise ten low income families in the construction of their own homes. The families are inexperienced in construction so plans were made to be easily followed and easily built. The Streetlight at Water Tower was to assist in installation of streetlights in the Water Tower Community with plans and specifications provided from the Bureau of Indian Affairs Roads Division. The Energy Upgrades Project consisted of residential energy modernization and renovation to the Scattered Site Houses.

Lac Courte Oreilles Boys & Girls Club
Lac Courte Oreilles Boys and Girls Club broke ground this Spring on the new Boys and Girls Club Addition and Renovation project. Meyer Group Architecture provided Fundraising, Architecture, Interior Design and Project Management assistance on the project. The new addition and renovated existing facility shall provide new administrative and control areas, a Demonstration Kitchen, Outdoor Classroom Area, new Program Areas and upgrade interior finishes. The project also includes addition of acoustical treatment and a new garage to house the Clubs vehicles and maintenance equipment. The project is being constructed by LCO Development, the Band's own construction company, performing work in a Design/Build relationship with Meyer Group Architecture.

Twin Ports Wellness
Meyer Group assisted Twin Ports Wellness Center in creating a new home on Tower Avenue in south Superior. Work included an interior renovation of an existing structure. Meyer Group assisted in providing code compliance, space planning, interior design and exterior renovation.

Douglas County Animal Shelter
Meyer Group Architecture, in association with Animal Arts Inc. of Boulder, Colorado, is providing Contract and Construction Administration Services to the City of Superior on the new Superior/Douglas County Animal Shelter, in Superior, Wisconsin. Meyer Group's responsibilities included construction observation, contract administration and project management through the Construction Phase of the project. The new facility is a consolidation of City and County owned facilities and will be a state of the art animal care and adoption facility.
