Richard Ray: Director of Missions -
Weekly Update
I pray everyone had a wonderful New Year. We finally made it to 2021 however, we are still dealing with the challenges of 2020. As I look back, I am proud to have served as your Director of Missions as we together met many of those challenges by learning from one another, praying for one another and ministering to one another as a "Brotherhood of Churches."
On Tuesday, January 29 at 10:30 am we will host a Tri-Rivers Pastor ZOOM Meeting to fellowship and to pray for one another as we begin the New Year. We will send out the ZOOM Link the week prior and it will also be posted on our website.
I was blessed to provide special music for White Hall Baptist Church. We had a wonderful time worshipping and praising the Lord.
This week, we will be focusing on the mission and ministry of 2021 as we serve the churches of Tri-Rivers Baptist Area. We are having a Tri-Rivers Staff Meeting this week with myself, Ministry Assistant Riley Smallridge, Hispanic Church Director Jaime Lopez and Church Relationship Director Dr. Dillard Fisher.
Each church should have received the new Tri-Rivers 2021 Gift Remittance Form along with other information. Please use this form as your church gives in 2021. If you have any questions, please contact your Area Office.
This Sunday, I look forward to worship and preach at Adamsville Baptist Church while pastor Dale Adams is on vacation.
Please take time to view the newsletter for additional ministry and mission opportunities. It is always a joy to serve you so please do not hesitate to contact your Tri-Rivers Area office if you need assistance or information regarding all your ministry needs.
Until next week, "All the believers were together and had everything in common." - Acts 2:44

The call to action for our faith community will begin with a virtual interfaith event on January 11 at 6 p.m. on Facebook. The event will include remarks from state officials, prayer, and a panel discussion of faith leaders and members of the Office of the Governor's Child Sex Trafficking Team (CSTT). We extend this invitation to join us January 11 through January 17, 2021 for GRACE Week of Prayer to End Human Trafficking.

Tri-Rivers Baptist Area is partnering with Restoration Advocates, Inc. as we continue to minister to victims of Domestic Violence.
Restoration Advocates exists to provide the care and support necessary for women, and their dependent children, who are victims of domestic violence and other dangers that place them at risk of life or physical harm and/or deprive them of their overall safety and sense of well-being. Our mission is for every woman in an unsafe home to have the confidence, as well as the resources, to independently support herself and her children.
To that end, we have established a safe haven called Restoration Place, where survivors of family violence can live in safety as they restore their lives to health and happiness. Restoration Place provides emergency housing for women and children in crisis and we also offer transitional housing for a period of up to two years if that is needed for the family to be fully independent and self-supporting.
