Richard Ray: Director of Missions -
Weekly Update
With the news of the Coronavirus, and the many new reports coming from the CDC concerning gatherings, we have many churches asking what they can do as a church to prevent this illness from spreading throughout the church and the community. I have posted the CDC Site for faith-based leaders concerning the Coronavirus as well as CDC Site on What you Need to Know about this virus. You can view these Websites in this newsletter or on our website homepage at
If your church has a specific ministry need during these unique times as you strive to stay connected to your congregation, please let us know. For example, we can assist your church in setting up a Facebook Live and or Facebook Page to allow your congregation to worship with you while they are at home, we can assist in other areas, whether it be church online giving or other resources that may assist you while we overcome this virus.
I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Jaime Lopez who will be serving on staff at Tri-Rivers Baptist Area as our Hispanic Ministry Director. He is the new church start pastor at La Mision in Selden. I am looking forward to his assistance as we create a stronger relationship with our Hispanic Churches to ensure that all their ministry needs are met, thus creating a stronger Brotherhood of Churches. Through this new position, we will begin to establish promotional material, social media, resources, etc., that will be in the Spanish language.
Lampasas Baptist Association and Coryell Baptist Association, please take note that your Associational Music Festivals scheduled for April have been postponed to be rescheduled at a later date, due to the concern of the coronavirus.
Please take time to view the newsletter for additional ministry and mission opportunities. It is always a joy to serve you so please do not hesitate to contact your Tri-Rivers Area office if you need assistance or information regarding your ministry needs.
Until next week, "All the believers were together and had everything in common." - Acts 2:44
