Weekly Update
The Free Tri-Rivers Preteen/Youth Camps at the Tri-Rivers Retreat Center are just one week away. You can still register by going to and selecting the camp you plan on attending.
Last week, we painted the inside of the Boyd Chapel at the Tri-Rivers Retreat Center. Special thanks to all who help paint. Pastor Miles Miears of the Church at Blue Ridge is installing the inside trim work. I also attended the Erath Baptist Association Leadership Meeting hosted by the BSM of Tarleton. This past week, your Area Office conducted numerous background checks and provided the Child Sexual Awareness Training through Ministry Safe for many of our Area Churches as they prepare for camp, VBS, Staff training and other various summer ministries.
This past weekend, I was honored to return to my last pastorate where I served for 10 years serving FBC Wink. I was blessed to baptize three young ladies whom I held as a child who accepted Christ as their Savior. I was also honored to deliver God's Word in both preaching and singing.
This week, we are building two new recreational activities at the Retreat Center. The first activity is an Obstacle Course and the second activity is a Human Foosball Court to go along with the current activities: sand volleyball court, gaga pit, horseshoes pits, softball field, gun range, paintball course and ping pong tables.
This Sunday, I am looking forward to preaching at The Church at Blue Ridge in Hamilton as they are one of our new church starts in the Tri-Rivers Baptist Area.
This week, I will also be attending the Coalition Meeting with several state agencies to discuss and gather information on the following ministries: Crises Respite Center, Caring for Caregivers, Homes for the Homeless, Domestic Violence Hotline. If you are interested in volunteering or receiving additional information, please go to our website: and register to volunteer or to receive additional information. I believe God is calling us out to minister to those who are hurting and in need of healing. We can accomplish this together as a Brotherhood of Churches. Be in prayer on how you can serve.
Until next week, please view the newsletter to stay updated on all that is happening through your Tri-Rivers Baptist Area. Take time this week, to plant the seed of Salvation in someone.
Until next week, "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." - 1 Timothy 4:12
