Every person has dignity and potential. But approximately 1 in 3 American adults has a criminal record, which limits their access to education, jobs, housing, and other things they need to reach that potential. Since launching the first Second Chance® Month in 2017, Prison Fellowship® has spearheaded the nationwide effort to raise awareness about these barriers and unlock brighter futures for people with a criminal record. Together we can open the door for approximately 70 million Americans to live up to their potential after paying their debt to society!
Pastor Dace Clifton of FBC Hico asked those who live in the Hico Area to join together for a special time of prayer at FBC Hico.  All are invited to attend this special meeting each Tuesday, beginning January 26th at 6:30 PM for the next 7-weeks. We are going to pray and seek God's mercy for each other, our families, the lost, our community, and the nation during these unusual times.

A session of the Women's World Day of Prayer, "Life! Standing Together Unified in Hope," will take place virtually via Zoom on Friday, February 12, beginning at 10:15 a.m. CST. Individuals from Texas and beyond are welcome to participate.
The Women's World Day of Prayer features a presentation on unity and hope by Patty Lane, recently retired director of Intercultural Ministries for Texas Baptists. Elise Edwards, assistant professor of Religion at Baylor University, will read and reflect on Ephesians 4:2-6. Rebecca Poe Hays, assistant professor of Christian Scriptures at George W. Truett Theological Seminary, will lead a brief Bible study and devotional. The Day of Prayer will also include worship music and prayers presented by women from around the globe.
Zoom credentials for the Women's World Day of Prayer will be available at one day prior to the event. The site also provides the option to request an email reminder the day before the event that will include the Zoom link.
The Baptist Women's World Day of Prayer began as Europe emerged from World War II. Women from opposing sides realized they needed to tear down walls erected by the divisiveness of war. The pain of atrocities led to feelings of anger, and these women understood only God could dismantle barriers and bring reconciliation. As they stood together in prayer, they wrapped their arms around each other, and the walls came tumbling down. Since that initial meeting, World Day of Prayer sessions have been held annually in a variety of locations across the globe.
This session of the Baptist Women's World Day of Prayer is proudly presented by the Waco Regional Baptist Association WMU/Women's Ministries in coordination with George W. Truett Theological Seminary and the Keston Center for Religion, Politics, and Society at Baylor University.

Donation of Church Building
First Baptist Church of Dublin, Texas acquired an old First Christian Church many years ago and it is/was scheduled for demolition to make room for the expansion of our preschool play yard and future play ground equipment. They recently found out the church was rebuilt in 1958 using some of the salvaged lumber, hardware and stained glass from the original church back in 1889. Wanting to preserve its history and save it from demolition, they are seeking to donated it to be moved at the new owner's expense.
The main structure is approximately 43' x 60' and on pier and beam, making it easier to move. There is another portion on pier and beam available if interested. Part of the structure was bricked in 1977 which means there's likely wood siding underneath if the brick were to be removed. Water and gas have already been cut off, but power is still hooked up. If anyone is interested, it can be viewed by appointment only.
Contact FBC Dublin Office at (254) 445-2435 to schedule an appointment.
Tri-Rivers Baptist Area is partnering with Restoration Advocates, Inc. as we continue to minister to victims of Domestic Violence.

Restoration Advocates exists to provide the care and support necessary for women, and their dependent children, who are victims of domestic violence and other dangers that place them at risk of life or physical harm and/or deprive them of their overall safety and sense of well-being.  Our mission is for every woman in an unsafe home to have the confidence, as well as the resources, to independently support herself and her children.
To that end, we have established a safe haven called Restoration Place, where survivors of family violence can live in safety as they restore their lives to health and happiness.  Restoration Place provides emergency housing for women and children in crisis and we also offer transitional housing for a period of up to two years if that is needed for the family to be fully independent and self-supporting.  Learn More HERE
