Board of directors approves bylaws change for America's Newspapers
|
During its meeting on Sunday afternoon during the Senior Leadership Conference, the board of directors approved a change to the America's Newspapers bylaws that will give the board more latitude with the number of directors who may serve. With this change, the board will consist of:
No less than 12 — or more than 22 — voting Directors from Publication members.
No less than two — or more than four — voting Directors from Associate members.
The four elected officers.
And the CEO, as an ex officio non-voting Director.
Alan Fisco, the outgoing immediate past president, announced the board's decision on Tuesday morning during the business meeting. He said, "There was no comment from the general membership in response to the notice published in our America's Newspapers newsletter and the board approved the amendment to the bylaws."
