Public Services New Automated Garbage Trucks
The Public Services Department Waste Management Division is transitioning to fully-automated garbage trucks. These trucks will save taxpayer dollars and increase the efficiency of garbage collection while providing the same great quality of service. The Town will receive the first two trucks this summer. To prepare collection routes for these new trucks, we need to replace existing rollcarts with carts that are compatible with the new automated trucks. Details about this exciting transition will be shared in the next few days.
