March 2018
Dear Mount Pleasant residents and business owners,
Spring has arrived in Mount Pleasant, and with it comes a multitude of special events, meetings, and activities for the entire family. The 2018 Farmers Market season officially begins April 3rd at Moultrie Middle, followed by the 31st Annual Blessing of the Fleet & Seafood Festival on April 29th at Memorial Waterfront Park.

This season is also a time to celebrate our success as a community. We recently published our 2017 Annual Report, which details the many achievements we've accomplished together over the past year. Additionally, the Town of Mount Pleasant has recently been recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association for the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award and by the National Civic League as a finalist for the 2018 All-America City Award. We are proud of these accomplishments and we look forward to continuing this success with your help in the years to come.

There are several other upcoming meetings and events scheduled for the next month, so I invite you to sign up to our Notify Me module and stay updated on the latest Town news, projects, and events. Existing signs will be removed if they are considered redundant or do not meet standards. Additional signs may be added where deemed applicable.

Part of the Memorial Waterfront Park complex, the 1250-foot long Mount Pleasant Pier stretches out into Charleston Harbor under the foot of the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge. The pier's foundation was created from pared-down pilings from the old Silas N. Pearman Bridge.
Visitors can enjoy beautiful views of the bridge and harbor from the pier's bench swings and shade structures.
