Town Administrator's E-Brief

From Town Administrator, Eric DeMoura           Town of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

September 2019
Dear Mount Pleasant residents and business owners,

Happy Fall! I hope your school year and fantasy football teams are off to a great start. I'd like to take a minute and recognize everyone who worked before, during and after Hurricane Dorian to ensure that our Town was prepared, safe, and back to business as soon as possible. Our debris removal efforts are finishing up, and we appreciate your support as we handle the massive amount of vegetative debris left by the storm. We have a strong and resilient community and I am grateful for the community's efforts in this regard.

We are excited to focus on our community's youth this month with the Annual Children's Day Festival at Park West Recreation Complex on October 20th. We will also soon be accepting applications for the new Town of Mount Pleasant Youth Council. Please keep reading below to learn more about this exciting new initiative.

There are several other upcoming meetings and events scheduled for the next month, so I invite you to sign up to our Notify Me module and stay updated on the latest Town news, projects, and events. For more information about all that is happening in the Town of Mount Pleasant, please visit us online, engage with us on Nextdoor, like us on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter.

Best Regards,

REMEMBER:
  • Fats, oils and grease can clog pipes when poured down the drain
  • These clogs can lead to sewer overflows which can contaminate our waterways.
  • Don't put fatty food scraps or oil down a garbage disposal.
  • Use a bottle or can to collect FOG's from your kitchen and put them into your household trash.
