Congratulations to Mari Gerton and Dorian Williams on being nominated for the Cincinnati.com Athletes of the Week for boys and girls basketball.


Mari scored a combined 32 points during the Regional Tournament to help the Lady Vikings advance to the State Final Four. She added 14 rebounds and dished out 4 assists over the two games.


Dorian scored 18 points and grabbed down 6 rebounds in the Vikings’ 57-36 win against Moeller in the District Finals. Williams added 4 steals, 1 block, and multiple dunks in the win.

The Lady Vikings defeated Kings on Saturday, March 4th, to advance to the State Final Four. It marks the program’s first Regional Championship since the 2014 season.


The boys varsity basketball team defeated Moeller 57-36 in the District Finals on Saturday, March 4th. The Vikings advance to the Regional Tournament for the first time since 2018.

Indoor Track Championships Recap

The Princeton Indoor Track team traveled to Geneva, Ohio, to compete in the OATCC Indoor State Meet on Saturday, March 4th. The Vikings had a strong day, with seven entries in the Finals and five season-best times.


Congratulations to the Boys 4x400 meter relay on placing third overall. The team of Jared Farley, Jordan Houston, Antonio Hunter, and Treyvon Williams posted a season-best time of 3:27.51.


In the girls 400 meter dash, Jada Irwin ran a season-best time of 57.75 seconds to finish in 6th place overall. She also placed 18th in the 200-meter dash.


Marie Nzale finished in 8th place in the 60-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 9.35 seconds.


Also posting season-best times were Jared Farley and Treyvon Williams in the 400-meter dash. Farley finished 13th overall with a time of 51.25 seconds, and Williams placed 14th with a time of 51.56.

Girls Regional Basketball Recap

The Princeton Lady Vikings defeated the Kings Knights 65-53 on Saturday, March 4th at Lakota West High School. Princeton (26-2) advances to the State Final Four for the first time since the 2014 season.


The State semifinals and championship basketball games will be played at UD Arena on Friday, March 10th, and Saturday, March 11th. Princeton will play Grafton Midview at 6:00 PM on Friday. Tickets are available online only by visiting www.ohsaa.org/tickets.

District Wrestling Recap

Junior Micah Cottrell competed at the Division I District Wrestling Tournament at Kettering Fairmont High School on Friday, March 3rd, and Saturday, March 4th. 


Micah finished in third place with a 4-1 overall record during the two-day tournament and punched his ticket to the State Championships in Columbus, Ohio.


Cottrell improved his overall record on the season to 47-4 overall, and he is two career wins shy of 100.


The OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament is March 10th-12th at the Schottenstein Center on the campus of The Ohio State University. Boys District Basketball Recap

The Princeton Vikings boys basketball team defeated Moeller 57-36 in the District Finals on Saturday, March 4th at UD Arena. Princeton advances to play Fairfield in the Regional Semi-Finals on Wednesday, March 8th. The Vikings and Indians will tip-off at 8:00 PM at the Cintas Center. Tickets are available online only by visiting www.ohsaa.org/tickets.

Girls District Bowling

Congratulations to Ariana Washington and Sophia Roberts on advancing to the District Bowling Tournament.

SPRING PICTURE DAY SET - MARCH 13th


Princeton High School and Princeton Community Middle School Spring Athletic Pictures will take place on March 13th after school. Additional details will be shared with coaches and parents as the date approaches.

Princeton Chess

The Princeton Chess program traveled to Lakota East High School to participate in the Cincinnati Scholastic Chess Tournament on Saturday, March 4th.


Adit Chiplonkar placed second overall as a 7th grader in the under-500-rated section. Samuel Yeboah finished fifth overall in the under-300 section of the high school level.


The Princeton Chess program continues to grow, and the Vikings had the largest number of students participating in the tournament from any school district in the Cincinnati area.

Princeton eSports

The Cyber Vikes are heading into week 6 in the Spring season.


There are 3 "Premier Teams" (varsity-level teams):

  • Overwatch, led by captain, Daniel Gavarrete
  • Rocket League, led by captain, Maverick Barnette
  • Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, led by captain, Erick Herrera


In its first season, Cyber Vikes has grown from 3 to 25 members, with 3 full teams and substitute players. Matches are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.


The season ends on March 22nd, and some of the teams are predicted to go into post-season play. Teams that make it to the finals will compete in the eSports arena at the University of Akron.

Golf

Princeton Golf Camp - June 6-9th


The Princeton Golf Program will hold a Viking Golf Camp for incoming 4th to 9th graders at the Tri-County Golf Ranch on June 6-9th. The camp will be led by Princeton golf coaches and current golfers. It is designed for Princeton students that would like to learn about golf and may have an interest in playing on the middle school and high school teams.
