GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to Silas Fulton, Andrew Edrington, and Carson McDaniel on receiving Greater Miami Conference Athlete of the Week honors.


Silas is a senior on the boys' volleyball team. He has been leading the team in aces and service points.


Andrew is a senior on the baseball team. He went 2-for-3 at the plate with a home run and 2 stolen bases in the season opener.


Carson is a senior on the baseball team. He tossed 5.2 innings to secure the win on the mound. He struck out 9 batters, allowed 4 hits, and yielded just 1 run.

Congratulations to Will Oliver and Jai'Von Akins on receiving Greater Miami Conference Athlete of the Week honors.


Will Oliver is a senior on the boys' volleyball team. He led the Vikings in victories over St. Charles and Hamilton. Will finished with 22 assists and serving points.


Jai'Von Akins is a sophomore on the boys' volleyball team. He currently leads the Vikings in kills and blocks.

Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association All-Ohio Teams

The Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association released its Division I and II girls basketball All-Ohio teams. Congratulations to Solé Williams on being named the 2023 Division I Girls Basketball Player of the Year. The senior guard averaged 20.8 points per game and led the Lady Vikings to their third state title.


Sophomore Mari Gerton received Special Mention from the OPSA. She averaged 12.9 points per game, and scored 25 points in the team's win in the state semi-finals.


Senior Dede Carter-Hartley was named Honorable Mention. The forward averaged 9.8 points per game, including 18 points and 10 rebounds in the State Championship game against Olmsted Falls.

Boys Tennis

Boys HS Tennis

The Princeton boys tennis team opened up the regular season with a 5-0 win against Lebanon on Monday, March 27th at Princeton.


Junior Dwayne Hall won 1st Singles 6-1, 6-4. Senior Raymond Richard won 6-2, 6-0 on Court 2. 


3rd Singles Veer Patel won 6-0, 7-5.


At doubles play, Leo Schmahl / Kevin Trinh won 6-2, 6-2. Jose Cruz / Jack McDaniel won 2nd Singles 6-1, 1-6, 6-3.

Baseball

The Princeton varsity baseball team opened up their regular season with a 4-3 win against Cloverleaf on Sunday, March 26th, at Princeton High School.


The Vikings offense plated 2 runs in the first and third innings. Senior Andrew Edrington was 2-for-3 at the plate with 1 home run and 2 stolen bases.


Senior Henry Haag collected two hits, including an RBI triple. Freshman Manuel Sanchez Gonzalez knocked in a run.


On the mound, senior Carson McDaniel tossed 5.2 innings of 1 run, 4 hit baseball. He struck out 9 batters and yielded 2 walks.



The Princeton baseball team defeated the Colerain Cardinals 10-3 to begin Greater Miami Conference play on Monday, March 27th. The Vikings improve to 2-0 overall, and 1-0 in the league.


The Vikings' offense was aggressive at the plate early in the game. Princeton collected 5 hits and 6 runs over the first three innings.


Josh Davis collected a pair of hits and a run scored in the win. 


Kodey Bingham, Henry Haag, Manuel Sanchez Gonzalez, Wyatt Shaw, and Junior Veras Vasquez each collected a hit in the game.


Senior Andrew Edrington picked up the win on the mound, tossing 4.1 innings of 1-run baseball. He struck out 9 batters and walked 4. Ryan Maloney slammed the door on the final 1.2 innings yielding just 1 runner on base and striking out 3 batters.

Princeton Chess

The Princeton Chess program traveled to Lakota East High School to participate in the Cincinnati Scholastic Chess Tournament on Saturday, March 4th.


Adit Chiplonkar placed second overall as a 7th grader in the under-500-rated section. Samuel Yeboah finished fifth overall in the under-300 section of the high school level.


The Princeton Chess program continues to grow, and the Vikings had the largest number of students participating in the tournament from any school district in the Cincinnati area.

Cyber Vikes - eSports

It has been a fantastic inaugural season for the Princeton eSports team. Led by sophomore Maverick Barnette's vision, the Vikings have put together three strong premier teams to compete in the Southwest Ohio Region II. A big thank you to Mr. Sullivan, Chis Lockhart, Mark Riesenberg, Tish Jones, and the entire Technology Department for building a great culture of success and opportunities for our Vikings.


The Super Smash team is currently ranked 4th in the division and will qualify for postseason competition. The regional tournament will be a LAN match, which means that the players will all be in person in the same arena. The Vikings prepare for competition (tentatively Friday, April 14th). Please stay tuned for more updates from our Vikings, and be sure to congratulate our members and coaches for an incredible season.

Princeton Golf Camp - June 6-9th


Join your fellow Vikings and have fun while learning about the game of golf at the upcoming Viking Golf Camp. The camp is designed for Princeton students (incoming 4th to 9th graders) that would like to learn about golf and may be interested in playing on the Middle School or High School team. The camp will be led by Princeton Golf Coaches and current Princeton golfers.
