Viking Signing Days
Princeton High School and Administration celebrated four student-athletes that signed their National Letter of Intent to pursue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.
Caeley Goins will continue her volleyball career at West Virginia State University. She was recently awarded first team honors by the Greater Miami Conference. Goins is a three-year all-conference volleyball player. During her senior season, the outside hitter finished with 193 kills, 41 serve aces, 128 digs, and 15 blocks.
Andrew Edrington will continue his baseball career at The Ohio State University. During his junior campaign, Andrew received All-State Honorable Mention honors at the utility position. He was also named the Greater Miami Conference Athlete of the Year to go alongside his first team league honors. He finished the season with a .461 batting average, .577 on-base percentage, 18 stolen bases, 10 extra-base hits, and scored 21 runs to help the Vikings advance to District Semi-Finals. On the mound, he posted a 2.33 ERA, striking out 75 batters over 45 innings. At the infield position, Edrington had a 92 fielding percentage.
Dede Carter-Hartley will continue her basketball career at Stetson University. During her junior season, Dede received second team all-Greater Miami Conference honors and District honorable mention honors by the Ohio Prep Sportswriter’s Association. The forward averaged 10.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 24 blocks last season.
La’Sonja Hill will continue her basketball career at Ohio Dominican University. Last season, she received first team all-Greater Miami Conference honors and honorable mention honors from the Ohio Prep Sportswriter’s Association. The junior guard ranked fifth in the conference with 13.1 points per game during league play. She finished second behind Solè Williams with 38 made three-pointers and shot 46 percent from the floor. La'Sonja ranked second in the league with 55 assists and 53 steals. She finished the conference schedule with 5 blocks and had a 1.6 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Solè Williams will continue her basketball career at Texas A & M. During her junior season, Solè received First Team All-State honors, Greater Miami Conference Athlete of the Year, and first team honors from the Ohio Prep Sportswriter’s Association. Williams led the league with 23.4 points per game. She scored 28 points or more in seven games. She made a conference-best 147 field goals (53.6%) and 49 three-pointers (41.5%). She led the league with 65 assists and 61 steals.
