The Princeton color guard and the NJROTC unit participated in the Homecoming parade on 5 October 2022.
The color guard will present the colors at the home varsity football games on October 7th and 21st.
Twenty-five cadets participated in the Hamilton NJROTC Field Meet on Saturday, 1 October.

Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to Natalie Williams, Melanie Kessler, Sophi Roberts, and Braylen Nies Williams on receiving Greater Miami Conference Athlete of the Week honors.
Natalie Williams is a senior on the volleyball team. She had 33 serves with 5 aces and only 3 errors. Natalie finished the week with 20 kills, 8 blocks, and 10 digs.
Melanie Kessler is a senior on the cross country team. She ran her season's best at the St. Xavier Invitational. Melanie improved her time by over a minute. She is running her best at the end of the season when it really counts.
Sophi Roberts is a junior on the golf team. She scored a low score on the team with a 56 on Monday against Talawanda.
Braylen Nies Williams is a sophomore on the varsity soccer team. He played the best game of the season against Lakota West on Thursday, and followed up with a very productive game against Kings on Saturday.

The Princeton Cross Country program hosted its annual invitational on Saturday, September 24th, at Landmark Athletic Complex. A huge thank you to all the volunteers, staff members, and Landmark for making the event successful.
The girls team finished 10th in the varsity race with a team time of 1:53.52. Emily Johnson placed 33rd overall with a time of 21:40.6. Maddie Slagle finished 35th overall in 21:53.0, and Lauren Burns placed 60th with a time of 23:02.9. Melanie Kessler (65th / 23:26.9), Makenna Carrigan (70th / 23:48.6), Gloria Dunlap (78th / 24:21.0), and Rayne Hannah (87th / 29:08.2) all ran great!
The boys team finished with a team time of 1:36:54 to place 10th overall in the varsity race. Declan McGrath led the Vikings with a time of 18:25.6 to finish 48th overall. Ian Ewing-Jackson placed 65th in 19:13.1, Grant Smith ran a time of 19:13.8 to finish 67th, and Andrew Dunlap posted a time of 19:54.5 to place 83rd. Princeton also had great runs from Donovan Kemp, Mark Whitener, and Nigel Adjei-Mensah.

Girls Tennis Tournament Recap
The Princeton High School girls varsity tennis team competed at the Greater Miami Conference Tournament on September 29th and October 1st at Mason High School.
The Vikings scored 25 tournament points to finish in 6th place overall.
Amanda Tulloss placed 5th overall at 2nd Singles. Paris Harris and Adiaya Hammond each finished in 6th place at 1st Singles and 3rd Singles, respectively.
In doubles competition, Annie Schmahl/Lilli Edmiston placed 7th overall. The 2nd Doubles duo of Leah Bracknell/Amari Wilson finished in 6th place.
Princeton concluded the G.M.C. sixth in the Final Standings.

Girls Golf - Sectionals
The Princeton Lady Vikings competed at the Sectional Golf Tournament hosted by Hamilton Elks on Monday, October 3rd. Princeton bettered their team score from last year by 24 strokes!
Princeton finished 11th in the field with a team score of 515. London Harris led the team with a 105. Sophi Roberts finished with a 126, Ariana Watson shot a 139, and Alexis Huwel scored a 145.

Boys Golf - Sectionals
The Princeton boys golf team competed at the Southwest Boys Sectional Tournament on Thursday, October 6th, at Miami Whitewater Golf Course. The Vikings shot 436 on the afternoon.
Scott Lawson led the Vikings with a 99 (+28). Jamey Spears scored 107 (+36), and Jack Reynolds finished his round plus 39 over par (110).
Sammy Roberts and Veer Patel scored 120 and 121, respectively.

The Lady Vikings soccer team defeated Hamilton 3-1 on Tuesday, October 4th at Princeton High School. Princeton improves to 2-8-2 overall and will travel to Mason on Tuesday, October 11th, before hosting the Aviators of Sycamore on Thursday, October 13th. | |
The Princeton Vikings boys soccer team defeated Hamilton 3-1 on Tuesday, October 4th at Hamilton High School. The Vikings improve to 6-5-2 overall, and 4-2-1 in the Greater Miami Conference.
Will Oliver, Jonathan Reyes, and Gio Vitti each scored in the game. Aiden Billiter finished with 2 assists, and Braylen Nies-Williams added the third assist in the match.
Princeton is currently 2-0-1 in their last three games and will travel to Springboro on Thursday, October 6th, before hosting Mason on Tuesday, October 11th.

Little Vikes Cheer Night was a great success!
The 2022-23 Basketball Cheer Tryouts are right around the corner. There will be an informational meeting on October 24th at 6:00 pm in the High School GRID (library).
Cheer packets will be made available in the athletic office on Monday, October 24th.
The cheer program will hold two days of clinics, and the third day will be an open gym.
The first clinic will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 25th, in the High School Aux Gym. The second clinic will take place on Wednesday, October 26th, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Open gym will be held on Thursday, October 27th, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Basketball Cheer Tryouts will be held on Saturday, October 29th, from 9:00 am to Noon.

The Princeton football team defeated Oak Hills 42-0 on Friday, September 30th at Pat Mancuso Field. The Vikings improved to 6-1 overall and 5-1 in the Greater Miami Conference.
The defense recorded its fourth shutout of the season, yielding just 193 total yards of offense.
Princeton’s offense accumulated 457 total yards. RJ West passed for 199 yards and 2 touchdowns on 10-of-11 passing attempts. He also led the team with 118 rushing yards and a score.
Deandre Rutherford rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns. Riley Woods led all receivers with 107 receiving yards and a score. Jordan Houston had a touchdown reception in the win.
On the defense, PJ Nelson forced a fumble, and Kevin Jordan recovered a fumble. Nelson led the Vikings with 5 solo tackles and a sack.

The Princeton Community Middle School Golf team competed at the Greater Miami Conference JH Golf Tournament at Tri-County Golf Ranch on Monday, October 3rd. Princeton finished with a 456 team score.
Trent Turner and Isaac Solomon led the team with a score of 110 for the 18-hole tournament.

Princeton defeated Taylor 1-0 last Thursday. Josue Garcia Chilel volleyed the ball in the back of the net after a great service from Nate Messer.

PCMS Girls Soccer -
The Lady Vikings improved their record to 8-2-1 overall after wins over Walnut Hills (3-1) and Taylor (4-0).
In the Walnut Hills win, Kamryn Lowe scored all three goals! The Vikings offense was balanced in the win over Taylor. NaVee’ah Benton, Norah Martin, Kamryn Lowe, and Naomi Wyant all scored in the win. Alyssa Derden and the strong defense picked up another shutout.

The Princeton Lady Vikings end the regular season with road wins at Fairfield Crossroads. The 7th grade team has won 7 of their last 8 matches, and the 8th grade team closes out the regular season with 5 wins of their last 8 matches.
The Lady Vikings will prepare for the Greater Miami Conference Tournament on Saturday, October 8th.

The 7th and 8th Grade football teams return to action on Thursday after a bye week. The 7th grade team is currently 4-1 overall, and the 8th grade team is 2-3. Princeton hosts Fairfield on September 29th at 4:30/5:45 PM.

PCMS Cross Country -
The Vikings had a great showing at the Fairfield Cross Country Invitational on Tuesday, October 4th, at Harbin Park. Alan Marroquin Vazquez and Austin Young were medalists 5th place finish. Eva Casto placed 5th, and Erin Schutte finished in 12th place for the Vikings!

The Princeton Lady Vikings tennis team placed 8th at the Greater Miami Conference JH Tennis Tournament hosted by Princeton and Mason on October 3rd and 4th. The Vikings scored 15 total points.

The Princeton Lacrosse program will hold Fall clinics on Tuesday evenings, 5:00 to 6:00 PM, on the grass field behind the Stadium.

The Tri-County Golf Ranch will host its first Princeton Fall Golf League that will be open to Princeton Administration and Teachers. The weekly league will be played on Wednesdays beginning October 5th at 5:00 PM. Please contact Dani at the course with any questions, dani@tricountygolfranch.com.
