Viking Engine 6th Annual Engine Workshop

February 3rd - Join us for our 6th annual Viking Engine workshop. It is an all-day event starting at 9 AM until 5 PM. In years past, we spend the day going over the engine, components, maintenance, demo rides and get to know more about the customers, their planes and get a look at the actual installations. For a preview of the events, please refer to the schedule shown at the bottom of the newsletter.

We hang out until the evening and do a cookout here at the hangars.

The workshop is at no cost and the end goal is to ensure you step away learning something you didn't know before you walked through the hangar.

Get a chance to see our new engine offerings, the Viking 140T and now the Viking 175!

The workshop is held at Massey Airpark, Hangars C3 and C9 at the Viking Aircraft Engines Facility (X50).

Since that time, Ricardo became our engine dealer in Mexico and now has a fleet of Viking powered aircraft to include 4 different variants of Zenith, Glastars, Rans and a Pelican Aircraft as well.

To learn more about becoming a dealer, please reach out to Alissa at 386-566-2616. As we are ever expanding and now have a broad reach around the world with dealers in the following countries:

Bill Fahey discussing his build, the engine installation and the services provided by Viking (Both Bill and Dave had their engine installed by Viking in Texas)

Dave Tillema arrived from Texas, as well as Bill Fahey. A long trip for both of them and they each took the time to go through their aircraft and engine installation for visitors as well as doing a few discussions on their experience.

This past year Dave has had some pretty phenomenal feats. Dave, with the help from Bill with logistics and the many people who showed up along the way to lend a hand was able to travel and land in 48 states in 10.5 days and making his final destination Oshkosh Airventure 2022 (beating a world record). You can see more about this journey as well as other challenges he has taken on and his flying journeys on his Facebook page HERE and you can watch the video below and the playlist on our Youtube that will show and highlight the whole adventure!

Dave has now passed around 1200 hours on his Zenith CH 750 Cruzer, powered by the Viking 130 and a DUC Variable Pitch Prop.

Pictured: Bill Fahey deconstructing a gearbox after a prop strike occurrence to check the internals, see the gears and learn a bit more about the working parts involved.

Zenith Aircraft Presentation

As many of you know we specialize in providing engines for the Zenith Aircraft Kit Aircraft, with now over 900 engines in their airframe alone, as well as build many ourselves which will be seen and flown at the workshop.

It only seems fitting to have Zenith here to showcase what is happening with them and break up a bit of the engine discussions.

An update from Zenith Aircraft Company, by Zenith president Sebastien Heintz, who will talk about the latest developments from kit manufacturer Zenith, the number one brand of Light Sport Aircraft in the U.S., and by far the number one airframe choice for Viking Aircraft Engines.

Watch the video below to see how their latest factory expansion is progressing.

Heintz will also be around to answer questions about building and flying Zeniths and looks forward to meeting with existing and new Zenith builders and flyers.

With Zenith being number one for registered aircraft in the Light-Sport and Sport Pilot Market, many years in a row, Viking has been a big part of supplying the engines for them. With a quick and easy to build kit in combination with a very complete plug and play engine setup, it helps make a dream team. All of this makes your build time a lot shorter so you can spend more time in the air and less time on the ground with your thinking cap on.
