Scene Magazine Readers Poll Names WCSB as #1 College Radio Station in Cleveland.
WCSB 89.3fm, Cleveland State University's student-run radio station, was recently named the Best College Radio Station in Cleveland by the readers of Cleveland Scene Magazine and the #4 best station in Cleveland overall in 2020. Even though the WCSB studios have been empty since March because of the pandemic, the station's volunteer staff is creating programming from home and combining that with archived shows and using their remote automation system to remain on the air.

You can listen to WCSB on the radio at 89.3fm or stream their broadcast on their website at Students interested in becoming a member of the radio station can visit their VikesConnect page at: and fill out their application form. Membership is open to all CSU students.

First Year Experience (FYE) at Cleveland State University is looking to hire Peer Mentors for the 2021-2022 Academic Year.

The FYE Peer Mentor serves as a guide to support and provide academic assistance to first year students at Cleveland State University. The Peer Mentor serves as an integral part of the First Year Experience Seminar - Introduction to University Life (ASC 101) and the first-year student acclimation to campus life.

Each Peer Mentor assists students in developing their knowledge, learning new skills and bolstering their confidence to become independent learners with high academic performance. The Peer Mentor works closely with the instructor in planning and preparation for the course, attends each class, assists students in transitioning to Cleveland State University, as well as coordinates multiple out-of-class activities.

Peer Mentors are compensated for working up to 10 hours per week at $10.00 per hour. Interested students can head to to learn more information and apply. Applications are due by 12:00pm Friday, February 5th, 2021. First round interviews (30 minute time-slots) will take place February 15, 2021- March 5, 2021, and you can sign up for a time by visiting our website linked above.

FBI Academy Now Accepting Applications

CSU and the FBI Cleveland Division are excited to partner up once again for an hour long virtual CSU Students Academy that will give you an opportunity to get a comprehensive look into today’s FBI.

The Academy will work to educate and inform students about the mission of the FBI including criminal, cyber threats, terrorism and administrative functions. This program is scheduled to begin January 20, 2021 and will run virtually from 11:30am to 12:30pm for 12 consecutive Wednesdays.
