Class of 1970 Girls Reunion

The Ladies of Archbishop Wood's Class of 1970 gathered together on April 23, 2022 for their (long awaited!) 50th Reunion!

It was a joyous occasion filled with laughter and love. We were thrilled to see them together and happy it could finally happen - even if it was a little delayed due to the pandemic.

The reunion began in the auditorium with a small, but touching prayer service where candles were lit for classmates who are now in Heaven. After the service, a quick "All About Wood" trivia game took place, followed by a catered luncheon in the cafeteria.

Special thanks to Bill Monaghan for his participation in providing music for the Wood girls of 1970.

Grandparents & Godparents Appreciation Day 2022

On April 19, our students came together and celebrated their Grandparents & Godparents for our Grandparent & Godparent Appreciation Day!

It was a wonderful morning that started with a special mass. Fr. Paul touched all of our hearts by speaking about the importance and what a gift it is to have the presence of our Grand/Godparents in our lives.

After mass, everyone enjoyed a complimentary continental breakfast and uninterrupted quality time with their Grandchildren and Godchildren. The South Gym was filled with so much love, we wish we could have bottled it up.

We are so grateful for our students and their extended families. We are also so lucky to have been able to safely celebrate our Grandparents & Godparents once again after two years off.

Thank you again to everyone who attended - we can't wait to see you again next year!!!

With this honor comes a $10,000 college scholarship to be used in the pursuit of a bachelor's degree and access to the full range of Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans services, including a virtual college success program.

It was wonderful hearing a little bit about Gabriella's dreams and aspirations for after high school. She tells us that as of right now she hopes to attend Columbia University to study to be an Orthopedic Surgeon. We are so proud of you Gabriella and we can't wait to see all that you accomplish!!!

Earth Day & Environmental Science Class

In celebration of Earth Day, Mrs. Hartranft's 6th period Environmental class worked outside to help with some gardening needs in Wood's Butterfly Garden, located just outside of the South Gym. The garden bed was extended this year, so aside from some annual maintenance and weeding, new plants needed to be planted and that is just what our students did!

Before planting began, our Theology classes also stopped by to take part in a quick blessing and prayer service led by our Campus Minister, Fr. Paul.

Art Program News

Congratulations to all of our students who participated in the Dad Vail Regatta poster contest. Anne Leonard was awarded 3rd place and
