Dear Villa Community,

Good morning! Here is a quick update on what is happening at Villa right now.

In addition to our infant, toddler and primary programs, our first Intro to E1 class started last week. The students were excited (and a little nervous being on the big kids’ campus for the first time) and according to the teachers, all is going very well. Today we welcome our elementary campers. All staff have been trained on health and safety protocols including hand hygiene, mask wearing, physical distancing, cleaning regimens, monitoring for signs of illness, etc.

On another note, the other Toddler II staff member that I reported on in my last communication received a negative result on her COVID-19 test. She is feeling better and will return to work when she meets the AZDHS criteria to do so.

As you know, Governor Ducey has ordered schools to reopen for the 2020-2021 school year. In preparation for the start of our new school year, we will be sending surveys to our primary and elementary families today or tomorrow to gather critical feedback. We need everyone’s participation in this process so please be watching for that communication and complete the survey promptly. School is scheduled to begin on August 10.

Have a good week.
