Villa Summer Happenings
Welcome back to school!

I hope you and your family enjoyed a wonderful summer! Our campus was busy with Summer Camps, events, and activities, and I am pleased to share some of those happenings in this message.

It has been wonderful to see all the students happily transitioning to their new classrooms and routines. The new school year is starting off smoothly and I'm certain it is going to be another great year at St. Ursula Villa!
Last spring, St. Ursula Villa hosted a New Parent Orientation and Reception to welcome the 39 new families joining our school. During the event, new parents learned more about the Villa and met their Villa Parent Ambassadors, administrators, and other new and current Villa parents.
More than 400 campers enjoyed many ways to learn and play at Camp Villa over the summer. Themed camps included Great Villa Baking Camp, Camp Invention, Wearable Art, Nature Explorers, Pottery and Wheel Throwing, and many others!
During our Casual Summer Play Date, more than 100 preschool - 1st graders and parents gathered on the Villa playgrounds to meet and reconnect.
You will see some new faces in classrooms and hallways as we welcome new faculty and staff. Shown are (left to right) Grace Berger - 5th Grade Science, Social Studies, and Math; Amy Agatucci - Montessori B Assistant; Marianne Wright - 6th Grade Science, Social Studies, and Religion; Beth McPeek - 6th & 7th Grade Math; Julie Ezzell - 2nd Grade Assistant; and Katy Evers - Preschool - 2rd Grade Music, Junior High Guitar.
During Monday's Meet & Greet, parents and students visited classrooms, met teachers, reconnected with classmates, set up their lockers, and enjoyed Mr. Softee treats.
Faculty and staff enjoyed a break from in-service training and classroom preparations with a lovely luncheon and "welcome back to school" gifts provided by the VPO. Cheers to a new school year!
As part of the school's enhanced security protocol, the Manor House lobby now includes a reception desk and designated school employee who will visually access the Manor House door/security camera to permit entrance, oversee visitor log-in/log-out, and generally monitor activities and traffic in the building and classrooms.
