Beauty Spa Development at Corner of Rand Road and Winnetka

Atelier De Beaute is requesting approval to construct a new building containing a beauty spa at 900 Winnetka Terrace. The new 2,340 sq. ft. building will house a variety of beauty services. This successful Lake Zurich business has been operating out of an office suite within the Sandy Point Office development for the past nine years but has outgrown that space.

Proposed Redevelopment at Corner of Main Street and Old Rand

True North Properties requests a Courtesy Review of a proposal to redevelop and enhance the property at the northwest corner of Main Street and Old Rand Road. True North Properties is proposing to redevelop this property with a minimum of $1.5 million of enhancements, including significant exterior facade improvements and updating the interior of the three units with full renovations and raised ceilings.

Proposed Cannabis Dispensary at Oakwood Commons

Tofino Shoreline Partners requests a Courtesy Review for a proposal to open an adult-use cannabis dispensary at a vacant store in the Oakwood Commons Shopping Center. This commercial space has been vacant since 2022 and is zoned in the B-1 Local and Community Business District, which is intended to serve the everyday shopping needs of consumers and provide specialty shops to attract a wider suburban target market.

Early Voting for the March 19th General Primary

The Illinois primary elections for Democrats and Republicans alike is on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.

Early voting in Lake County begins on Thursday, February 8, 2024. Voters may begin casting their ballots on this date at the Lake County Main Courthouse Lobby, 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, IL 60085. The Courthouse voting location will be open from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M., Monday through Friday, through March 1, 2024.

Voters may also register online by completing an electronic application for voting by mail. See link below to get your ballot sent to your house for voting by mail.

American Legion Comedy Show TONIGHT

The American Legion Post of Lake Zurich is hosting a comedy show on Saturday, February 3, 2024, with all proceeds going to Lions Club International. Tickets are $15 at the door but you are encouraged to reserve your spot by clicking below.

Doors open at 6:00 pm and comedy starts at 7:00 pm.

Come Take the Plunge March 2

We invite you to come out an make an impact on your community by taking the plunge into Lake Zurich. Purple Plunge is a local 501(c)(3) non-profit cancer charity dedicated to raising funds to those suffering from cancer.

Join us on March 2, 2024 starting at 9:00 AM for registration and check-in at Scoreboard Bar & Grill.

The first plunge takes place at 11:00 AM at Breezewald Beach at 125 N. Old Rand Road.
