OUR FIRST RESPONDERS HAVE BEEN PREPARING....
During the solar eclipse event in Wyoming several years ago, they were unprepared and consequently....
- Gas stations ran out of gas
- Grocery stores and restaurants ran out of food
- Liquor stores ran out of beverages
- First responders were unprepared
- Highways were clogged with unanticipated traffic
Including friends and family of residents plus guests in the short term rentals, our first responders estimate there will be approximately 10,000 visitors in Hot Springs Village between April 5 and April 8.
- First and foremost, know that the HSV police, fire, and ambulance have been preparing for the eclipse event for more than a year.
- Also know that our gates will remain secure and the Village will remain closed to everyone except friends and family of residents as well as short term rental guests.
- The West and East Gates will be especially busy as will the highways leading to them.
- As a main route to various viewing areas as well as to Hot Springs, where every hotel has been sold out for almost a year, Hwy 7 is expected to see considerable traffic over that entire weekend.
- Know that restaurants inside and outside the Village will be busy all weekend.
