Village Hall Closed to In-Person Visits

Village Hall is closed to in-person visits until further notice. The Village made this decision to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, employees and community based on guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), which recommends limiting in-person interactions to prevent exposure and spread of COVID-19.

Waste Management Mailing to Wilmette Residents

Earlier this week, the Village was made aware of a postcard that was sent to residents from Waste Management regarding the company's recent acquisition of Advanced Disposal. The Village wants to assure you that this acquisition will not result in any changes to the collection services provided to Wilmette residents. Your collection day and fees will remain the same. The Village will be working closely with Advanced Disposal and Waste Management during this transition period to continue the high level of service for our residents. 2021 Budget Overview Now Available

The Village Board recently approved the 2021 Budget, the most important guiding document that the Village produces every year. Check out the Budget in Brief, an overview of the 2021 Budget. The Village continues to maintain a strong financial position that allows for the continued delivery of all services, despite challenges from COVID-19. The budget also invests $31.2 million investment in capital projects.

Creating the annual budget is an intensive process driven by strategic planning and budgeting, and prudent spending of tax dollars. The Board values input from residents, business owners and community stakeholders in the budget process. We hope you take a few minutes to learn about Wilmette's budget priorities, where funds come from and where they are invested.
COVID-19 Update: Do Your Part So Health Care Workers Can Do Theirs!

As new COVID-19 infections continue to rise across the state and country, top concerns are hospital capacity, health care staffing and PPE availability. This week, Suburban Cook County (Region 10) dipped below the 20% threshold for available ICU beds.

Please do your part to slow the spread so our front line health care workers can do theirs! Avoid gatherings, stay home as much as possible, wear your mask, watch your distance and wash your hands.

COVID-19 Testing
Testing is available at many locations across Cook County. IDPH Community Based Testing Sites offer free tests to anyone regardless of symptoms or insurance status. You can also get tested at pharmacies, immediate care clinics, hospitals and primary care providers.
