COVID-19 Update: New Tier 3 Mitigations in Effect Today

As of today, all of Illinois is under new Tier 3 COVID-19 mitigations. New guidance recommends that residents work from home if possible, limit gatherings and avoid non-essential activities. Grocery stores, pharmacies, retail and services remain open at limited capacities and with preventative measures in place. Indoor dining is not permitted, but parties of up to six are permitted to dine outdoors. Simply put, if you don't need to do it, don't.

Community Caretaker Program
The Village continues to provide assistance to our vulnerable and at-risk residents through the Community Caretaker program. Residents who are unable to leave their homes and need help with obtaining essential items such as groceries and medicine can submit a request through the Village Manager's Office by calling 847-853-7502 or emailing Alex Arteaga at [email protected]. A Village employee will follow up to better understand the needs and situation, and as appropriate, the Village will coordinate with its network of organizations and volunteers to respond to the request.

Healthy Habits Corner: Celebrate Thanksgiving Safely
Public health officials agree that the safest way to celebrate Thanksgiving this year is to celebrate at home with only your household. New State guidelines also urge Illinoisans to limit holiday gatherings to just your household. If you choose to celebrate Thanksgiving with others, follow these measures for a safer celebration.

In partnership with the Wilmette Park District, Wilmette Public Library, School District 39 and Avoca School District 37, we urge you to do your part to keep our community safe!  Learn more on our Healthy Habits Corner webpage.
