I hope you had a happy and healthy holiday season.

Like you, I look forward to all the new and exciting things ahead in 2024. This year will mark the completion of the undergrounding project. As one of the most significant capital improvement projects in the history of the Village, its completion will mark a renewed resilience to what seems like an increasing number of South Florida storms.

Please join me in welcoming our newest members of the Village Council later this month. I look forward to working with the entire Council this year to continue our progress and success.

Finally, the new Resident Directory has been printed and is being distributed. If you don't receive a copy in your mailbox in the next week, please stop by Village Hall.

Once sworn in, Betsy Hvide will serve the remainder of Tom Lynch's term which expires in March 2025. Jeff Kruck will serve the remainder of Michael Botos' term which expires in March 2025. Angela Holiday will serve the remainder of Winstone Windle's term, expiring in March 2027.

Thank you for your service

On behalf of the entire Village, we thank Winstone Windle (left), Michael Botos (center), and Thomas Lynch (right) for their combined 61 years of service to the Village of Golf. We are a better, stronger community as a result of their work and dedication.

Last day to have us pick up your tree

The final day for us to pick up your Christmas tree is Wednesday, January 3rd.

Please make sure your tree is curbside by 8:30am. You may put it out the night before. Remember to remove all decorations and ornaments.

This is NOT the way to do it

This picture is an example of what NOT to do!.

Please remember to break down your holiday shipping and gift boxes and place them inside the recycling dumpsters. If the dumpster is gone for servicing, please DO NOT leave your boxes on the ground. It will return in about an hour.

A second bin for holiday boxes is currently located in the Village Hall lot.

Remember, these recycling bins are NOT for household trash. Items MUST be cardboard, glass, paper, and cans.

Landscaping around new transformer boxes

Keep an eye out for new decorative landscaping planted around the transformer boxes installed during undergrounding.

If the box is on your property, please remember to alert your landscapers that the new plants need to be added to the regular maintenance of your property.
