Comprehensive Plan Feedback Sessions
We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of our Comprehensive Plan Feedback Sessions! Starting in October, community members actively participated in discussions, sharing invaluable insights that will shape the future of our village. The sessions allowed residents to voice their opinions on key aspects of the comprehensive plan, including infrastructure, housing, and community amenities. The enthusiasm and thoughtful contributions from our residents have been inspiring, reflecting a shared commitment to building a community that meets the needs of all. As we gather and analyze the feedback received, we express gratitude to each participant for their time, passion, and dedication to the growth and prosperity of our beloved village. Stay tuned for updates as we work collaboratively with council and staff to finalize the collective vision that will guide us into a vibrant future! Together, we are shaping a community that we can be proud to call home.

Christmas Celebration & Tree Lighting
The holiday spirit was in full swing as our community came together for a magical Christmas celebration and tree-lighting event.
Laughter, warmth, and festive cheer filled the air as families gathered in the heart of our village to witness the lighting of the Christmas tree and enjoy a visit from Santa. From carols shared by the Lakewood Accapella group to delightful treats provided by local businesses, the evening was a great time for the community to come together.
A heartfelt thank you to all who contributed, volunteered, and joined in the festivities, making the celebration a resounding success. Thank you to Stephanie Snedden, Howard Hanna Real Estate for the Hot Chocolate Bar, Harry & David for providing moose munch, Creative Catering for the delicious cookies, and Beth Moore, State Farm for passing out candy canes.
This evening was a time to honor the life of our late friend Scott Walters and his many contributions to the village of Hebron. We thank the Walters family for being in attendance and allowing us to honor Scott.

Shop with a Cop
Village of Hebron Police Department had a great time at the Shop with the Cop event. The officers raised $650 through No Shave November and additional funds secured through a Walmart grant with the help of Village Fiscal Officer, Deb Morgan for a total of $1650 raised to provide Christmas to children in the area. Several "Lancer Leaders" assisted the officers in picking out the toys. Thank you to Walmart Heath for their donation and to Lakewood Elementary for their participation!

Safety Tip!
Winter Driving Precautions
As winter blankets our village with snow and ice, it's crucial to prioritize safety on the roads. Ensure your vehicle is winter-ready by checking tire tread, brakes, and fluid levels regularly. Keep an emergency kit with essentials like blankets, a flashlight, and non-perishable snacks. When driving in wintry conditions, reduce speed, increase following distance, and use headlights even during daylight. Stay informed about weather forecasts and road conditions, and if conditions worsen, consider postponing non-essential travel. Let's work together to keep our community safe on the roads this winter season. Safe travels, everyone! ❄️🚗

Energy Aggregation
In recent years, the county commissioners began working toward bringing all jurisdictions into one collective bargaining unit to secure the best possible rates for both gas and electric. With this in mind, Hebron Village Council voted to put this option on the ballot and, last November, Hebron residents voted to allow the village to participate in collective bargaining to secure gas and electric rates. While Hebron residents do not have to remain with the provider selected by the county-level bargaining group, residents do not have to enter into their own individual bargaining agreements if they want to take advantage of the rates negotiated for them. So, if you are approached by a provider, you can choose to work with them or if you take advantage of the county level bargaining group, you do nothing, and the county will do the work for you. If you have more questions please contact, Mayor Mockus. 740-928-2673/ valerie.mockus@hebronvillage.org
