25 - 37 Brodhead Street Repainting

The Village’s Historical Preservation Commission approved the repainting of the buildings located at 25–37 Brodhead Street on October 2, 2024. The proposal submitted by Wisconsin Management Company did not include replacement of the mural located on the north side of 25 Brodhead Street, due to the inability to accurately recreate the original artwork because of significant fading over time.

Since the start of the repainting, Village staff has received multiple inquiries regarding both the repainting project and the future of the mural. At this time, no plans have been submitted or approved for a new or replacement mural at that location.

The Village appreciates the community’s interest in its historical and cultural assets and will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.

Public Works Position Filled

We are excited to share that the vacant position within our Public Works Department has officially been filled. After several months of operating understaffed and reviewing more than 20 applicants, we are pleased to announce that we will be returning to a full staff by July 21st.

Please join us in welcoming Dylan Handel to the team. We are thrilled to have him on board and look forward to the skills and energy he will bring to our department.

Mosquito Fogging

The Village has tentatively planned to begin mosquito fogging this week; however, it is weather dependent. More information will be distributed as available.

Representative Pocan's Staff at Library

Outreach staff from Rep. Mark Pocan's district office will be available Friday, July 11th from 12:00pm - 1:00pm for constituents seeking help with federal agencies or interested in issuing a comment to report back to Congressman Pocan.
