Village Reminders
Fireworks: Did you know that most fireworks require a permit from the municipality to use?
Wis. Stat. § 167.10(1). allows the sale, possession and use, without a permit, of sparklers not exceeding 36 inches in length, stationary cones and fountains, toy snakes, smoke bombs, caps, noisemakers, confetti poppers with less than ¼ grain of explosive mixture, and novelty devices that spin or move on the ground. These are the only kinds of "fireworks" that a person may use or possess without a permit. The general rule of thumb is if it leaves the ground or explodes a permit is required.
Fireworks display permits issued by the Village of Windsor will be posted on the Village of Windsor website: Fireworks - User Display.
Refuse/Recycling Collection the week of 4th of July: If your curbside refuse/recycling collection is typically on Thursday or Friday, your collection day will be delayed by one day due to the 4th of July Holiday. Always refer to your collection calendar for holidays impacting collection.
