Pellitteri will be closed on Thursday, January 1st, in observance of New Year's Day. All curbside residential pick-ups will be delayed by one day for residents serviced Thursdays and Fridays. Monday-Wednesday routes will not be delayed. Since collection routes may be serviced differently, your pick-up time may be altered. As always, please make sure to have your carts out before 7am.
Village Closure on New Year's Day
The Village offices and public works department will be closed on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
The Village office will be open our regular hours of 8am to 4:30pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 and Friday, January 2nd, 2026. Happy New Year!

Curbside Christmas Tree Pick Up
Public Works will be picking up Christmas Trees curbside the weeks of January 5th and 26th, 2026.Note: The wrong collection dates were included with the Recycling Center Permit mailing, sorry for any inconvenience.
Trees must be curbside by 7 am on the Monday of collection week, no exceptions.
Remove all tree stands, ornaments, lights and other metal objects.
Remove and discard tree bags.
There is no set day of when your tree will be picked up within the week.
Small Business Grant Program
The Villages of DeForest and Windsor are excited to continue the Small Business Grant (SBG) Program into 2026. The SBG Program is designed to support the growth and vitality of small businesses in key areas identified for infill, redevelopment, and agricultural preservation. Cart Placement Reminder: Please do not place carts in the street. Carts should be at the end of your driveway within two feet of the street or curb area and must be out by 7am on the day of your pick up.
