Municipal Building Drop Box Temporarily Closed

Please note that the Windsor Municipal Building Drop Box, 4084 Mueller Rd., is closed until November 9. This closure is due to the mailed November 8 General Election absentee ballots, which cannot be returned via drop box.

Election Date: November 8, 2022; Polls are open 7 am to 8 pm. Check your polling location at MyVote Wisconsin.

• Saturday, October 29 from 9 am to 11:30 am
• Monday, October 31 from 8 am to 4:30 pm

Mailed Absentees: Did you receive an absentee ballot already in the mail? Don't forget to complete all the certification requirements on the envelope including voter signature, witness signature and complete witness address. Ballots must be received in time to be delivered to your polling place no later than 8 pm on Election day.

What this change means for residents:

• New Pellitteri carts will be delivered in December. Watch the mail for a letter regarding cart size options.
• Recycling will now be collected weekly!
• Your collection date may change. Detailed information will be included in your recycling cart when delivered. 
• Waste Management will remove their containers after their last service in December (exact dates to be determined).

Case Manager Outreach is back at the DMB Neighborhood Center, 4438 Windsor Rd! Visit with a DeForest Area Community & Senior Center Case Manager. They will be at the DMB Neighborhood Center on the 4th Thursday of each month from 9:30 to 11 am. (Note that due to the Thanksgiving holiday, November's outreach day will be the third Thursday, November 17, 2022.) No appointment necessary. You can drop in to ask questions about resources in the area, case management, nutrition and more!

Join the Village of Windsor and Windsor Deputies for Trunk-or-Treat!

• When: Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 4 to 5:30 pm 
• Where: Windsor Fireman's Park, 6711 Park St., Windsor
• For: Kids have the opportunity to go trunk to trunk and get candy and handouts from local businesses, organizations and public safety agencies. There will be games and crafts under the shelter and free hot chocolate and popcorn, while supplies last.

Event is free to attend. Children must be supervised by an adult.
