Parks Committee Vacancy

The Windsor Village Board is seeking a qualified individual interested in filling a vacancy on the Windsor Parks Committee, which operates under the direction of the Village Board.

In-Person Open Book: May 17, 2-5 pm

Open Book is your opportunity to discuss your assessment and any questions regarding your value with Accurate Appraisal, the assessor for the Village of Windsor. 15 minutes phone appointments can be scheduled by visiting https://accurateassessor.com and then choosing Appointments. The last day for phone appointments is June 1. Accurate will also hold in-person Open Book at the Windsor Municipal Building, 4084 Mueller Rd, DeForest, on May 17th from 2 -5 p.m. 


If you cannot come to an agreement of value with the assessor and you still wish to object to your assessment, a written/oral intent to object must be filed with the Clerk at least 48 hours prior to the Board of Review. The Clerk will set an appointment for you to appear at Board of Review. A PA-115A form with your opinion of value must be filed with the Clerk in order to attend the Board of Review. Email Christine Capstran christine@windsorwi.gov to give notice of intent and request the required form. Board of Review will meet on June 8, 2023 at 9-11 a.m.

Cops-N-Bobbers

When: Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 9:30 am with prizes at 10:30 am and a picnic lunch, provided by Metcalfe's Market, to follow at Old Mill Site of the Token Creek Conservancy. 


Where: Token Creek DNR Ponds, 6356 Portage Rd. Parking Available in Grassy Area South of Ponds & Old Mill Site, 6356 Portage Rd. parking lot.


Who: Join the Windsor Deputies at this free, catch and release, community event for children 15 years of age and under (must be accompanied by an adult). Fishing poles, bait and supplies are provided, but if you have your own fishing poles please bring them. Prizes will be given out. Must be present to win.

Friends of the Token Creek Watershed

The Friends of the Token Creek Watershed (Friends Group), who help to support the Token Creek Conservancy, a true gem of Windsor, are looking for more members to join their group! This is a great way to get involved in the community and have some fun while volunteering!

Arbor Day Event: Thank you!

Arbor Day was a success with the planting of 35 total trees at two parks within Windsor, Morrisonville Ball Park and Sunset Meadow Park.

Thank you to JR's Mulch Sales for donating the bark chips to go around the trees.

Trees were purchased with a grant from the Wisconsin Alliant Energy Community Tree Program and One Million Trees Initiative in conjunction with Trees Forever.
