New tool helps PPP borrowers complete forgiveness application
A free tool is available to help borrowers and their CPA advisers complete the forgiveness application for Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans.

Available at PPPForgivenessTool.com, the tool automates the forgiveness process for small business owners who received funds from the PPP. The tool incorporates the PPP forgiveness calculator developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is available to any business approved for a PPP loan, regardless of the lender it worked with to receive funding.

Borrowers or their CPA advisers can use the tool to fill out the forgiveness application. The tool will produce all government-required forms automatically. The PPP applicants will be able to electronically sign the SBA Form 3508, the PPP Loan Forgiveness Calculation Form or Form 3508EZ, and the required source documents will be saved into a downloadable file that can be provided to PPP lenders.

Visit the Journal of Accountancy website for more information.
80th Avenue station vendor RFQs due Sept. 1
Requests for qualifications are due Tuesday, Sept. 1 for commercial business owners who are interested in operating the 800-square foot cafe inside the 80th Avenue Metra train station. The Village also will be scheduling showings of the facility to potential vendors.

The 5,400-square-foot station is located just east of 80th Avenue along the Metra Rock Island commuter rail line and features a clock tower, a full kitchen, a great hall with a 25-foot-high ceiling, a covered drop-off area and veranda, interior booth seating, two restrooms and a fireplace.

The selected vendor will have direct access to the entire station, including the great hall. The Village is seeking a high-quality retail or service firm with an excellent operating record whose use of the train station will, in addition to serving the more than 2,400 daily Metra commuters, create a destination for residents and visitors during off-peak train station hours.

Respondents are encouraged to submit plans they believe will be in the best interest of Metra riders and the Village. The Village also encourages creative plans envisioning a variety of café services.
