Venge Vineyards
"Scout's Honor" Napa Valley Red Blend 2018
92+/100 - Our Score (4/2020) This Napa Valley powerhouse from superstar winemaker Kirk Venge combines 63% Zinfandel with 16% Charbono, 12% Petite Sirah and 9% Syrah. Checking in at 15.5% alcohol, this blue and black fruited wine-of-impact is lush, massively mouthfilling, concentrated and seriously pleasure giving. Pair with burgers, steaks, lamb sausages or enjoy the power and nuance of this beauty on its own. If you're looking for a voluptuous Napa Valley red that blows away Prisoner, this is it! (California)
"Doctor's Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir 2017
92/100 - Vinous, Josh Raynolds (8/2019) "Brilliant red. Intense, spice-accented black raspberry, cherry and licorice aromas are enlivened by a suggestion of smoky minerals. Juicy and focused on the palate, offering lively dark berry and bitter cherry flavors that slowly open up and become sweeter with air. Shows very good depth as well as energy and finishes smoky and quite long, with building florality and chewy tannins that build steadily. Drinking window: 2023 - 2030." (California)
La Rioja Alta
"Viña Alberdi" Rioja Reserva 2015
91+/100 - Our Score (6/2020) A Vin Chicago favorite, Vina Alberdi is back in a big way! This hand-harvested 100% Tempranillo from high-altitude estate vines in Rioja Alta is always excellent, and the 2015 iteration is even more exciting than usual. Dripping in bold sunbaked strawberry and grilled plum flavors with toasty notes of nutmeg and smoothing vanilla, this young, medium-to-full bodied Reserva is simply delicious. In additional to all the rich fruit, the 2015 Alberdi is energized by a tangerine zested finish of cleansing, well-integrated acidity across its lengthy finish. Excellent now, it is likely to get even better in the coming few years. It is for good reason that Alberdi has such a passionate following. If you are looking for a wine that will beautifully enhance almost any meal, this is it! (Spain)
"Y Series" Shiraz/Viognier 2018
88/100 - Our Score (6/2020)
90/100 - Wine Spectator (2020) "Plump blackberry and blueberry flavors show nice purity, with details of blood orange, candied cherry and dark chocolate, set on a thick frame. Shiraz and Viognier. Drink now through 2030." (Australia)
Arco Iris
"Rainbow" Tempranillo 2018
87+/100 - Our Score (4/2020) We like Spanish Tempranillo, and we LOVE when it comes in a big ol' 1 Liter bottle! From sustainably farmed grapes that are destemmed and crushed in the vineyard, this red juice is almost too much fun. Fresh with bright red fruits, a bit of chewy red earth and dried red flower notes, this is a seriously gulpable value for everyday pairing. (Spain)
Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
88+/100 - Our Score (4/2020)
89/100 - Wine Spectator (2019)
93/100 - James Suckling (4/20/2020) "Attractive aromas of violet-like florals here, together with ripe blueberries, plums and plenty of spicy oak. The palate is attractively juicy with succulent, sweet flavors of red and blue fruit and approachable yet sturdy tannins. Drink or hold. Screw cap." (Australia)
La Pépière
"La Gras Mouton" Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine 2017
91/100 - Our Score (5/2020)
90/100 - Wine Spectator (11/15/2019) "Notes of beeswax surround the core of clementine and white peach flavors, with vibrant acidity and mineral elements imparting a mouthwatering feel on the focused finish. Drink now through 2023. 420 cases imported." (France)
Andrea Felici
Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore 2018
90+/100 - Our Score (5/2020)
93/100 - Decanter (4/25/20) "Felici is a rising star of Verdicchio. His youthful non-riserva is the epitome of the modern style. The lifted, floral-toned nose has delicate fruit aromas. The palate is also clean and crisp, with poise and definition." (Italy)
Rodney Strong
"Chalk Hill Vineyard" Sonoma County Chardonnay 2017
90/100 - Wine Spectator (5/31/2020)
92/100 - Wine & Spirits (4/2020) "Rod Strong first planted chardonnay in the white volcanic soils of Chalk Hill in 1965, and this estate-grown wine carries a memory of that chalky soil in its mineral freshness and apple-skin spice. It's clean and powerful, that power driven by some reduction that keeps the wine tight. Give it time in a decanter to open up, then serve as an aperitif with poached prawns." (California)
"Ried Steinagrund" Grüner Vetliner 2017
This groovy Gruner punches WAY above its weight class!
91/100 - Our Score (4/2020)
90/100 - Wine Enthusiast (9/1/2018) "Miso notes mingle with ripe Conference pear scents on the nose of this wine. The palate adds a yeasty texture and lively lemon flavors, making it a very expressive, dry and totally refreshing Gruner Veltliner." (Austria)
Château de Trinquevedel
Tavel Rosé 2019
90+/100 - Our Score (6/2020) Kermit Lynch imports this delicious pink wine, and we love it! Full bodied and deeply colored, it comes from the Tavel region, the only appellation in the Rhône that restricts production exclusively to Rosé. Perfect with grilled fish or fried chicken, the wine blends 60% Grenache with 13% Clairette, 13% Syrah, 10% Cinsault, 3% Mourvedre and 1% Bourboulenc. Lovely. (France)
Raventos i Blanc
Blanc de Blancs Conca del Riu Anoia Brut 2017
90/100 - Our Score (6/2020) A delicious bottle of bubbly! We're thrilled to have Raventos back in stock, and at such a great price. Generous, round and rich in the mouth, this dry sparkler is a blend of biodynamically farmed Xarel-lo (40%), Macabeu (32%), and Parellada (28%) After fermentation in tank, each bottle spent at least 18 months resting on its lees prior to disgorgement. A perfect, nicely refined sparkling wine for absolutely any occasion! (Spain)

Price: 199  (includes one bottle each of the above twelve wines)
