Buehler Vineyards
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Not only does Antonio Galloni love this authentic Napa Cab, we're sure you will too! It goes for $35 at the winery. The Vin Chicago price, of course, is less!
91/100 - Our Score (8/2021)
93/100 - Vinous, Antonio Galloni (2/2021) "The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is a terrific introduction to this range from Buehler. Bright and punchy, the 2018 is so expressive, even in the early going. Black cherry, plum, mocha, spice, new leather and mint all race out of the glass as this beautifully delineated, mid-weight Cabernet shows off its inviting personality. I loved it. Drinking window: 2023 - 2033." (California)

Bodegas Muriel
"Fincas de la Villa" Rioja Reserva 2015
93/100 - James Suckling (7/26/2019)
93/100 - Wine Spectator (4/30/2020) "This generous red is rich and round, with ripe tannins and orange peel acidity. Cherry, dried currant, licorice, vanilla and spice flavors are ample yet focused. A balance of traditional and modern styles. Drink now through 2030." (Spain)

Caruso & Minini
"Naturalmente Bio" Sicilia Nero d'Avola 2019
The "Naturalmente Bio" Nero d'Avola is a project of Giovanna Caruso, the fourth generation of her family to be involved with the winery. Working with a small, specially selected vineyard, she uses organic farming to produce this uniquely plush, ripe and distinctive Nero d'Avola. Cool stuff!
88/100 - Wine Enthusiast (3/1/2021) "Made with organic grapes, this has aromas of ripe black-skinned berry, new leather and crushed Mediterranean herb. On the medium-bodied palate, polished tannins accompany ripe Marasca cherry, star anise and a hint of carob. Bright acidity keeps it fresh. Drink through 2022." (Italy)

Maison Phillipe Viallet
Vin de Savoie Rouge 2018
88+/100 - Our Score (6/2021) Here is a super delicious red from the mountainous Savoie region of Eastern France. Blending Gamay with Mondeuse, Philippe Viallet crafts this perfect summertime red with very little intervention. Packed with crunchy red fruit, taut earth, light red flowers and only 12.5% ABV, it is a perfect wine to serve with a little chill. Authentic, lively and fresh! (France)

Parducci "True Grit - Reserve Red"
Mendocino County Red Blend 2019
91/100 - Wine Enthusiast (7/1/2021)
90/100 - Our Score (3/2021) A highly unusual California blend of Petite Sirah, Syrah, Merlot, Zin, Cab, Grenache, Souzao, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Cao, the "True Grit - Reserve Red" greets you with boisterous flavors of boysenberry, dried black cherry, pan searings, toasted vanilla bean, charred cedar and dried thyme. The spicy tannin on the finish makes this a perfect pairing with ancho-rubbed flank steak and backyard bonfires. (California)

Château Juvenal "Les Ribes du Vallat"
Ventoux Rouge 2018
90+/100 - Our Score (6/2021) This Southern Rhône blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah was assembled by no other than Philippe Cambie, famed consultant to some of the greatest estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Packed with full-on Southern Rhône character, including notes of dark red fruits, raspberry concentrate and strawberry coulis, all dusted with bits of white pepper, smoked ham and Kalamata olive. Fleshy and yummy, this not-so-modest red drinks like a baby Gigondas. An absolute steal! (France)

Hartford Court
Russian River Valley Chardonnay 2019
The new vintage of our favorite Chardonnay. This stuff rocks!
93/100 - Jeb Dunnuck (7/22/2021) "Readers looking for a pure, impeccably made Russian River Chardonnay should check out the 2019 Chardonnay Russian River Valley from Hartford Court. It has classic pineapple and honeyed orchard fruits, a rich, medium-bodied mouthfeel, good acidity, and subtle toasty, nutty background nuances. It's ideal for drinking over the coming 4-5 years. Maturity: 2021 - 2026." (California)

Denis Breussin
Vouvray Demi-Sec 2017
90/100 - Our Score (9/2021) Denis Breussin, the fifth generation of his family to farm in Vouvray, crafts this off-dry Chenin Blanc from old, sustainably farmed vines. Delicious and impressively affordable, it offers ripe citrus and bruised orchard fruit flavors which are complicated by notes of honey, almond butter and subtle nervy minerals. With just a kiss of sweetness, this versatile white will be great with sushi, spicy fall soups or on its own as a welcome wine for your guests. (France)

J. C. Somers
"Croft Vineyard" Willamette Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2019
A lovely small production Willamette Sauvignon Blanc!
92/100 - Our Score (10/2020)
92/100 - Vinous, Josh Raynolds (4/2020) "Shimmering straw. Bright and focused on the incisive nose, displaying lime zest, green apple, honeysuckle and dusty mineral scents, along with a touch of succulent herbs. Dry and lively on the palate, offering intense citrus and orchard fruit flavors that betray no excess weight. Closes on a stony note, delivering strong, floral-driven persistence. All stainless steel. Drinking window: 2022 - 2028." (Oregon)

J. Bouchon
"Salvaje" Valle de Maule Pais Blanco 2019
This unusual Chilean white earned the #28 spot on Decanter Magazine's list of the “Top 100 Wines of the Year”
90/100 - Decanter
90+/100 - Our Score (12/2020)
90/100 - Wine Advocate (2/28/2020) "There is a white mutation of País that produces 2019 Pais Salvaje Blanco, a mutation that happened in the overgrown, wild vines they found. They have now planted some more to see if it keeps the color. This is floral and tender, very young, with moderate alcohol and very good acidity, especially for a warmer year like 2019. The palate is vibrant with acidity and makes you salivate. 1,600 bottles were filled after five months in Spanish tinaja (amphora)." (Chile)

Carnuntum Zweigelt Rosé 2020
90/100 - Our Score (7/2021) The fruit for this dry Rosé is sourced entirely from organically-farmed Zweigelt vines - the Austrian crossing of Blaufrankish and St. Laurent. Lean and tangy, with peppery red fruits and zesty, rocky earth, it is a perfect pairing for Merguez sausages, penne arrabbiata or fish tacos! (Austria)

"Crede" Valdobbiadene Brut Prosecco Superiore 2018
92/100 - Vinous, Eric Guido (12/2020)
92/100 - Wine Enthusiast (12/31/2019) "Green apple and white spring flower shape the enticing nose on this fragrant sparkler. The silky polished palate doles out Bartlett pear, lemon zest and nectarine alongside a dollop of ginger. Fresh acidity and a creamy mousse provide the backdrop." (Italy)
