Happy New Year!
A Prayer for a Holy Year*
Dear Father,
You loved the world so much
that you gave us Your own Son
as our Redeemer.
In memory of His Crown of Thorns,
I ask Your blessing on all who
suffer in mind:
for the lonely and unemployed,
for all who live in fear,
for all who live without faith
and love.
In memory of His Cross, I ask Your
blessing on all who suffer in body:
for the hungry and homeless
for the weary and the sick.
In memory of His Resurrection,
I ask the blessing of faith for all
the world, so that Your people may
live together in the peace of Christ.
I ask this through Your Son, Jesus Christ,
Redeemer of the world.
Amen.

A Holy Nudge
(Is 61; Jn 1:19-28)
One of my favorite words, both because of the way it sounds and what it connotes, is “nudge” [...] a little inside push, beginning to hear this interior voice saying “get up and do something.” Read the post HERE.

By William Butler Yeats
He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven
Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
