Winter has arrived with a big bang. The Midwest & East Coast have received record amounts of snow, rain and sleet and the temperatures have been dropping. Many people are stranded in their homes after trying to shovel out their sidewalks and driveways. And, our thoughts and prayers go out to the California residents who have suffered so much from the fires and now rain storms.
The effects of the cold, wind and indoor heat will leave your skin feeling dry, dehydrated and even flaky, and will limit your exercising ability. Living in Southern California, we are experiencing weather in the mid 50's, so we have nothing to complain about, however, we too can feel the change of the seasons on our skin. Consider using my Conditioning Body & Massage Oil in your favorite scent to help revive your skin which will encourage soft-to-the-touch skin. Click Here
Exfoliating is the perfect way to have absolutely radiant, soft and smooth skin which is essential when your skin becomes dry and flaky from the cold and indoor heat. There are two very beneficial products just perfect for gentle exfoliation:
Purifying & Detoxing Bath & Salt Rub and the
Exfoliating Body Smoother.

On the right side of my Newsletter, check out additional ideas to help us maintain healthy skin and attitude during the Winter Season. Now that our big Winter coats have come out of the closet, it is time to protect our skin.
In addition, let me know if you need help with your gift-giving needs during the year. I want to help make your shopping easy and less stressful, especially if the weather has made it difficult for you to shop.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any hints or ideas to help us enjoy the Winter months, and I will include them in my Newsletter.

Winter Ideas*
*Now is the time to warm up your fragrance choices by choosing scents with earthy or vanilla notes. Or, if you are in a sparkling mood, scents that capture a sugary or champagne feeling.
*Nutmeg and Cinnamon are ingredients that we reach for when we start to think about our Winter baking recipes.
*Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte is a favorite of their clients. Try making your own version at home. I prefer a little less spice.
*There are inexpensive ways to liven up your Living and Dining Rooms and get you into the mood of the Winter Season. Why not fill large bowls with gold, silver, red or blue glass ornaments to capture the feeling of the lovely Season. Also, change out your throw pillows in your Bedroom and Living Room to match the white and blue colors of snow and white lights.
*When going out in the evening, you can never go wrong using a red or deep pink blush on your cheeks. Whether you prefer a cream, liquid or powder, there is a beneficial formula for everyone. The color change will help brighten your complexion and mood and make you party ready.
*At night, you will need a more long-lasting facial foundation, such as Revlon's Colorstay which comes in 32 shades -- and in two formulas -- combination/oily & normal/dry (my favorite). *I am a lover of eye liner, so now is the time to go back to black liner for the Winter nights to help create a dramatic effect. Also, lots of mascara will help brighten your eyes.
*Keep using your sunscreen/sunblock before outdoor activities, such as shoveling the snow, sledding or skiing. Don't let the clouds fool you, the sun will still get through, especially on your face, earlobes, neck and throat.
*Go festive for the Winter Season and take out that red, leopard or sparkle outfit and make a bold, personal statement. This is the time of the year to liven up our look and express ourselves while having lots of fun.
*Black & White is a classic color combination that is striking and always makes a definite personal statement. Whether it is a black top with winter white pants or a creamy white top and a black skirt, the look is
stunning.
*It is so hard to exercise outdoors when the snow is knee deep. Therefore, why not consider ordering The Sanddune which is the most perfect exercise companion for men and women. I use mine several times a day to keep me in tip-top shape and active.

*Men need to make sure that they are also taking care of themselves during the cold and Winter Season. My Herbal Invigorating Foot & Muscle Rub is one of their favorite products. In addition, my After Shave Spray on Balm is the perfect way for them to scent their skin. Click Here Click Here |
