Now that you have got your place what are the next steps for you to do before you arrive to excavate.

• Fill in the Volunteer form as soon as possible.

One form per excavator. This is important as it has your emergency contacts as well as T-shirt size and other useful information for us and you.This form must be filled in before January 5th 2023 at the latest to guarantee you receive a T-shirt. 

• Make sure that your Friend of Vindolanda Membership is up to date for when you arrive to excavate. We require all of our excavators to become friends as it gives them the opportunity to see both sites and keep up to date with the Vindolanda Trust's news. Find out more and become a friend below.

• If you aren't already signed up, sign up to our monthly newsletter to be kept up to date on all things Vindolanda Trust - what events and lectures are on, excavation updates and news from all across the Trust.

There are some great resources on our website to keep your Vindolanda blues at bay. We have some great videos that give an overview of the site and its archaeology, blogs on the excavations and all things Roman, excavation reports from previous years and even fun family activities great for getting kids of all ages engaged with Roman history.
