Owner: Curt Richmond

Where do you live?
Independence, OR

Vehicle: 1959 Apache Pickup

How long have you owned this vehicle? Since 2015

Where did you get this Vehicle? Portland Swap Meet

What is the story behind the vehicle? It was supposed to be a driver. Glad I hauled it home!

What condition was it in when you got it? Decent paint, wheels and tires. Swapped the engine for a better 350 and used it to chase parts(at the Filling Station). Was photographed at the Filling Station in Feb 2016 and featured in the catalog and calendar.

What kind of work have you done to this vehicle? February of 2018 it was stripped down to the frame to install a '94 Corvette C4 front and rear independent suspension. Added an aluminum block LS4 5.3 engine and 4L60 transmission. Frame blasted and powder coated. Body stripped and painted. Interior 2004 Cadillac Seats, 2004 Trailblazer console, shifter and parking brake. Also installed Vintage Air and Dakota instruments. All work and painting done by me except sandblast, power coat and initial hood, fender and door alignment.

What other vehicles do you own? I have a 1946 Chevy Pickup and a 1936 Chevy 2-Door Sedan. Both have been photographed at and attended Filling Station Collector Car Appreciation Day since 2013.

Do you have any other projects that you are currently working on or plan to start soon? Wife says "no". Will revisit the '46 Chevy truck.

Are there any interesting stories that you can share with us about your experiences with this vehicle? It has been to numerous car shows locally, Grants Pass twice and Florence once.
