Vintage Wine Estates Goes Public in $690 Million Deal
Santa Rosa winemaker Vintage Wine Estates has reached a deal with London-based acquisition company Bespoke Capital Acquisition Corp. to become a publicly traded company. The deal is valued at $690 million plus $50 million in future potential consideration.
Vintage Wine Estates started up two decades ago and has built a portfolio of over 50 wine and spirits brands from California and the Pacific Northwest. Its products range across the pricing spectrum, from $15 to $150 a bottle, but a majority of its current production is in the fast-rising $12–$20 range. Bespoke Capital is betting the acquisition will kick off its next phase of growth in the US wine industry.
