Battlefield High educator named top tech teacher | George Bishop, technology education teacher at Battlefield High School, has been named an Engineering Outstanding Teacher of the Year by Project Lead The Way Inc. Bishop is one of just 16 educations selected nationwide for the distinction, according to a news release. The award honors teachers for their work and commitment to their students. | | |
Stafford Co. students injured after crash caused school bus to flip on side - WTOP News | A school bus carrying 12 students in Stafford County, Virginia, flipped on its side after being hit by a car in a three-vehicle crash on Friday. Waynesboro superintendent says state may increase school funding | At its last meeting of 2022 on Tuesday night, Waynesboro School Board members were given some good news. 2023 VSBA Capital Conference, January 30-31, 2023
This year’s two-day Capital Conference will kick off with a budget and economic outlook for 2023 with the latest update on the Commonwealth’s financial picture. After the budget presentation there will be a conversation between Former Virginia House of Delegate Chris Saxman and Dr. Bob Holsworth with their perspectives on the landscape of Virginia politics in 2023 and beyond. Following this session, attendees will hear from VSBA’s own, J.T. Kessler and Stacy Haney on the happenings at the Capitol for the 2023 Virginia General Assembly.
