Loudoun Now, 4/13/23 … The School Board on April 11 voted to change a policy on students using technology responsibly, one of seven policies recommended for change by a special grand jury in its December report.
Norfolk School Board to vote again on Booker T. Washington HS feasibility study
NORFOLK — More than three years after the Norfolk School Board approved conducting a study of what to do with Booker T. Washington High School, the board will vote again next week to resolve lingering confusion about what the study should do.
A total of $220,481 in grant funding along with $127,491 of in-kind funding will go to public schools in Henry and Patrick counties and the city of Martinsville to serve students in grades 6 through 12 who are not able to function in the regular school environment. The grant funding is provided through the Department of Education.
Lynchburg City Council to conduct upcoming school board appointments in open meetings
With the terms of three members of the Lynchburg City School Board expiring June 30, Lynchburg City Council announced Tuesday it will hold its upcoming appointment process in open meetings.
The 2023 School Law Conference kicks off with a presentation from the Division of Public Safety Training and the Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety on preventative behavioral threat assessment in an educational setting.
