Richmond Public Schools' Lit Limo starts rolling for summer 2022

Richmond Public Schools' (RPS) literature program, the Lit Limo, is back this summer. Starting on June 27, the Lit Limo will be making stops at local elementary schools, community centers, and neighborhoods from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

FCPS hopes to name interim superintendent by July 1

WINCHESTER - The Frederick County School Board plans to name an interim superintendent by July 1, according to School Board Chairman Brandon Monk. Dr. David Sovine announced his retirement as superintendent during a school board meeting late Tuesday night, the night before officials with Washington County Public Schools in Maryland were scheduled to announce whether he had been selected as that system's new superintendent.

Changes are coming to how much time Arlington County Public Schools students could spend doing nightly homework. The school board voted unanimously to pass its consent agenda, which included the revisions to the district's homework policy, during Thursday night's meeting.
