February 20, 2025 - 2025 VSBA Title IX: Best Practices in Training & Compliance


For the first part of the workshop, participants will learn the basics of Title IX. As part of this workshop, we will provide form letters that can be adopted by each school division to use at each juncture of the investigation process.


For the second part of the workshop, we have developed a vignette, for a hands on, guided investigation of a Title IX case. As part of this process, we will guide you through the process of making a general response, drafting a notice of investigation, conducting the investigation of a formal complaint, drafting the investigation report, drafting the decisionmaker’s report, and the appeal process. Sample investigation report and decision-maker report will be provided as part of the workshop.
