Virginia students' performance on SOLS still trails pre-pandemic scores

For the second year in a row, Virginia public school students fared worse on the annual state accountability tests than in years before the coronavirus pandemic, according to statewide scores released Thursday. Across all grade levels, 66% of students overall passed the mathematics exam, compared with 82% who passed in 2018-19, the testing year prior to the pandemic.

Northampton School renovation comes in $30 million over estimates - Shore Daily News

The bids for the renovation of Northampton High School were not what Supervisors, the School Board and County staff had hoped for. Virginia Lottery donates record $779.6 million for K-12 schools

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The Virginia Lottery is contributing $779.6 million of its profits to Virginia's K-12 schools, a record amount of profits.
