Masking rules relaxed for staff at Bristol Virginia schools

BRISTOL, Va. - For the first time in two years Thursday, Bristol Virginia teachers, cafeteria workers and other employees could come to school without wearing masks. Bedford County School Board discusses books over "concerning content"

BEDFORD, Va. (WDBJ) - The Bedford County School Board discussed a review of dozen library books at its meeting Thursday. A board member requested a review of those books for "concerning content." After four previous committee meetings, the decision was made to not remove any of the titles from libraries.

Halifax County trustees vow further review of pay raises

The Halifax County School Board released a statement after a two-hour closed session on Wednesday evening saying there are "confirmed inconsistencies" in the 2022 mid-year salary increases for school employees. The statement by trustees was the only action taken at Wednesday's special meeting to discuss the matter.
