Hostile school board meetings have members calling it quits

A Nevada school board member said he had thoughts of suicide before stepping down amid threats and harassment. In Virginia, a board member resigned over what she saw as politics driving decisions on masks. The vitriol at board meetings in Wisconsin had one member fearing he would find his tires slashed.

It was all part of her visit to Henry County Public Schools' Career Academy, part of a tour she is making of schools across the commonwealth. RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - Community members and Richmond Public Schools officials gathered outside of the newly christened Henry L. Marsh elementary school to celebrate at an opening ceremony on Saturday. The school was previously named after George Mason, a founding father and slave owner from Northern Virginia. Fairfax Schools to require vaccine proof for student athletes

Athletes participating in Virginia High School League winter and spring sports will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination beginning Nov. 8. Belmont Station Elementary Class is Quarantining After Positive Test - Loudoun Now

A Belmont Station Elementary School second grade teacher tested positive for COVID-19 Thursday, just after the first day of classes for students in the county. The teacher and her entire class will quarantine for two weeks, as the students were deemed close contacts.
