COSSBA to host free federal advocacy webinar on August 18

The Consortium of State School Boards Associations (COSSBA) of which VSBA is a member, is hosting an hour-long Federal Advocacy Webinar for school leaders on August 18 at noon. The webinar will be on the proposed Title IX regulations and their impact on education in the U.S. Registration is complimentary for members, but limited.

New Amazon STEM lab opens at Wakefield High School

Alexandria unveils security enhancements at public schools | WTOP News

Students who are headed back to school in Alexandria, Virginia, later this month will see more security around their buildings. The Northern Virginia city's public school system released a list of security enhancements, including posting more security guards at all middle and high schools.

City Schools Announce New Administrators

FBI recognizes 2 SW, central Virginia schools in internet challenge
